PREMIER HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS
Premier Hospice and Palliative Care is looking for volunteers who would be willing to assist with office duties, such as calling patients, event preparation and answering phones etc. Volunteers have the opportunity to shadow multiple disciplines such as RN’s, MSW’s, Volunteer and Bereavement Coordinator, Chaplain and office staff. Volunteers may also visit patients to offer them socialization and companionship.
Schedules are flexible even to the most hectic schedule! Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

CARS & CARING: A CAR SHOW, MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR
Southwest Lutheran Church, 5120 Homestead Road in Fort Wayne, IN, will hold a Car Show, Mental Health and Wellness Fair Sunday afternoon September 15th from Noon to 4:00 PM. There will be a performance by Addison Agen, a Voice Finalist! This will be the 4th year for our Classic Car show. They had 75 cars registered last year with more expected this year! Registration is $10.00 per car, benefitting Cross Connections. There will be 20 People’s Choice awards, and dash plaques for the first 100 cars, as well as goodie bags and giveaways! The Mental Health and Wellness Fair is designed to connect those who struggle with mental illness, grief, addictions, or other personal or family issues to community resources.
JAYCE WADDELL FUNDRAISER CAR MEET
Diesel Addicts Fundraiser will be holding another fundraiser to help raise money for the family to assist with medical bills. Jayce isa 6 year old boy that has a rare kidney disease and medical bills are coming in from all the doctor’s appointments. Jayce was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome in November of 2017. The location of the fundraiser car meet is at Baer Field Motorsports Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event is on September 22nd from 10am till late in the evening. This year’s Light The Night Walk, fighting for childhood Leukemia will take place on September 24th, 2019.
