UNITED WAY of ALLEN COUNTY
FORT WAYNE (March 25, 2021) – United Way of Allen County will plan to host 92 rappelers on May 6 and 7 as they go “Over The Edge” to help raise funds for the launch of “Strong Neighborhoods”, a new initiative aimed to improve the quality of life in local neighborhoods.
United Way is looking to engage local rappelling enthusiasts to participate and pledge to raise $1,000. The rappelers will use ropes to scale down 80 feet from the eighth floor of the PNC Building in downtown Fort Wayne. PNC Bank is sponsoring the two-day event.

PREMIER HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS
Premier Hospice and Palliative Care is looking for volunteers who would be willing to assist with office duties, such as calling patients, event preparation and answering phones etc. Volunteers have the opportunity to shadow multiple disciplines such as RN’s, MSW’s, Volunteer and Bereavement Coordinator, Chaplain and office staff. Volunteers may also visit patients to offer them socialization and companionship.
Schedules are flexible even to the most hectic schedule! Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
