So I have to admit a few things first: One, I've always loved Britney Spears. My sister's and I watched the Disney Channel incessantly as kids right around the time Spears was plastered on the screen as the good-girl (and I say that loosely) pop star. There, watching the midriff baring and choreographed music videos, is where my interest first sparked. And in the years following her reign as pop princess, through her melt downs, through her comebacks, and through her awkward performances, I watched old Youtube videos of her glory days and thinking, "Wow, she was awesome!"

And now for admission number two: I'm rooting for her to once again, come back and be awesome.

Now, I know these magazine pictures are photoshopped (they can do wonders - take Christina Aguilera's recent Voice Promo) but I couldn't help but think once again, "Wow!" Does she not look absolutely amazing gracing the pages of Elle? And her interview on not being Kim Kardashian is even better! 

"I love my jeans and my sweats-I’m really just a tomboy at heart. So it’s really hard for me to be like Kim Kardashian and be makeup-and hair-ready every time I go out of my house. I’m not a believer in that, you know? On the other hand, when you do wear those sweats, you’re like, Oh God, I should step it up a notch."

All I'm saying is I hope she is awesome on the X Factor. I hope she puts the haters to rest for a while and I hope she continues to look awesome, because really, I can't stop thinking, "Wow."
