Dierks Bentley a thief?? DIERKS BENTLEY ACCUSED OF STEALING SONG
Please note the following story contains language that could be considered offensive. Dierks Bentley is being accused of ripping off his latest hit single, "Home," from another singer-songwriter. Jason Isbell took issue with Dierks on Twitter on Friday (January 6th), claiming that "Home" was stolen from his song, called "Razor Town." Jason tweeted, "'Dierks' has officially ripped off my song 'In A Razor Town.' Dierks is a d-----bag." Dierks wrote the song, which is the title track from his upcoming album, with songwriters Brett Beavers and Dan Wilson. But Jason's beef isn't with Dierks' co-writers. He tweeted, "I love @DanWilsonMusic's songwriting, but I bet he's never heard my song. I bet Dierks brought that idea to the table and Dan ran with it. I have had too much stolen lately. Not gonna let this slide." Dierks responded on Twitter writing, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! that is some funny s---!", followed later by, "JUST IN: "Nashville and LA songwriters running out of ideas..rushing to steal jason songs!" On Sunday (January 8th), Jason tweeted, "I officially "can't talk about it right now." We'll see what pans out." Dierks' new Home CD is set for release on February 7th.
